Artist
Jaydazh, born Hector Chal from the Dominican
Republic and raised in the Bronx, New York is known for sensational hits nationally and internationally. During his early
teenage years, Jaydazh developed his love for music by listening to Reggaeton,
Hip-Hop, and Tropical sounds. His versatile style was mostly influenced by
artists like El General, Vico C, Tego Calderon, and Jay-Z. Merging his influences with heritage sounds placed him in the category known as Latin Urban music.
Jaydazh is cultivating a
marvelous career path by devoting himself to the music since his teenage years. His dedication and great work ethic, positioned him to tour between the United States and The Caribbean. In 2007, Jaydazh went on tour in his native country, The Dominican Republic,
where he performed throughout the nation. He was also interviewed on shows like 100% Urbano and Sabado de Corporan. Besides producing great performances, in 2008 Jaydazh took it to media when he showed-up on the popular show Las Comadres con Gloria B, which is on the world-famous Latin Network Telemundo. In 2009, Jaydazh overcame major obstacles in his career including a change of record label, and breakdown in management. In his
search for partnership, he found Edwin Gomez “El Salsero” who is one
of the best singers harvested from the widely recognized Spanish speaking
television talent show Objetivo Fama. Jay also connected with salsa
music sensation El Sonero Pichardo.
El Sonero, Edwin, and Jay, had admiration for each other’s talent and
decided to create a new album, which would be named “Contraste”. They became a
group named “Cristo Fania All Stars” which would be on the scene throughout the
whole 2009.
2010
and 2011 have been great years for Jaydazh where he became the Latino
face for “Nuvo”, the first Sparkling Vodka. His dynamic and catchy single “Ella
Quiere su Nuvo” reached number 15 in the National Top 20 of the Latin Music Club Report in 2010. It
was also selected for the 2011 Grammy’s final entry for the categories of:
Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Urban Song. In 2010, Jay was
invited for the very first time to participate in the Latin Grammy Street Parties
in New Jersey where he electrified the crowd with his astonishing talent; that
positioned him to be a repeat-performer at the Latin Grammy Street Parties. In 2011, Jaydazh and artist Bory Pa collaborated to create the party starter single
“Sueltala”. Jay also, appeared in the show Despierta America in a segment dedicated to celebrated jeweler to the Stars Juan Piedra. Known also as “Maestro”, Juan Piedra has done jewelry work for
artists such as Wisin y Yandel and Daddy Yankee. Juan decided to become Jaydazh’s official jewelry sponsor.
Recently, Jay Participated in an event for the Dominican
community in Jersey that was produced by Univision. Also, due to Jay’s influences within the Latin Community, the clothing line Cavi launched a media campain along with sponsorship for shows, music videos and photo-shoots. Along with a list of appearances, Jaydazh has performed in the Dominican and Puerto
Rican parades in New York since 2007.
Currently, Jay is collaborating with different
artists such as Fulanito with whom he produced
the single “Abumbaybay”. In March 2012, Jaydazh dropped his album "Musiq is my life”. Jaydazh’s greatest moment of stardom is coming. His shine increases day by day and at the rate he's going, Jaydazh will soon be recognized
worldwide as one of the best in Latin Urban Music.
